The Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC) Chairperson, Dr Bethuel Setai, and his Deputy, Bongani Khumalo, will brief members of the media on the FFC annual submission for the division of revenue for 2011/12.
The briefing will afford FFC an opportunity to expand on its primary recommendations to the Minister of Finance which entail, among other things, the economy’s adjustment from the recent recession and the protection of vulnerable groups. The briefing will also focus on public transport and transport infrastructure, local government revenue and the use of conditional transfers in the intergovernmental fiscal system.
