The Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan announced in the 2012 Budget that the National Treasury will publish this year a series of discussion papers on the promotion of household savings and the reform of the retirement industry.
In this regard, the National Treasury will on Monday, 14 May 2012 publish an overview paper titled, Strengthening Retirement Funding and Savings, which contextualises the 2012 budget proposals.
Ahead of the release of this paper, National Treasury will host a media workshop run by Treasury officials, which will then be followed by a media conference addressed by the Minister of Finance.
