The National Council of Provinces’ Select Committee on Finance will conduct a week-long oversight visit in Limpopo. The visit will be from 1-5 October 2012.
The visit is a follow-up from the one the Committee undertook in March this year. According to Section 100 (2) (c) of the Constitution, the Committee must or may review the intervention regularly and may make any 20 appropriate recommendations to the national executive.
Limpopo Provincial government was placed under administration by the national government since December last year. The intervention affects the Departments of Education, Treasury, Health, Transport and Public Works.
During the oversight visit, the Committee will receive a progress reports from the administrators of the five affected departments.
