The Minister of Energy, Ms Dipuo Peters invite members of the media to the electricity switch-on and Public Participation event (Imbizo) at Meriting Community, Rustenburg in North West province.
The Minister will be switching on the previously un-electrified houses at Seraleng Community and later interact with the community (do walkabouts) as well as businesses (stakeholders in the Mining sector), as part and parcel of the government’s Public Participation week (Community Imbizo) on issues of electricity and government programmes.
The event will take place during the Public Participation Week, 9 to 15 November 2009. This event, will also reflect government’s commitment to building partnerships with communities, business, labour and other stakeholders, thereby supporting the President’s conviction that ‘working together, we can do more’.
