ECDOT to conduct security exercise in Mthatha Airport

Eastern Cape Department of Transport in partnership with South African Police Service (SAPS), ATNS, BIDVest Magnum Security, emergency services, Health, Home Affairs, South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and provincial traffics will conduct a security exercise at Mthatha Airport on 25 April 2012.

The exercise is intended to showcase the department’s readiness to alleviate any criminal activities which might take place at the Mthatha Airport. It’s meant to give the public a guarantee of safety in the utilisation Mthatha Airport.

The safety of this airport will ensure maximum usage of the airport by the public and boost the economy of the province by attracting more tourists to the province.
