The Eastern Cape Department of Transport will hold a state of readiness press conference, to officially announce the re-introduction of the scholar transport programme at the Department’s Head Offices in King Williams Town, on Tuesday, 12 July 2011 at 10h00.
This service will resume in the Eastern Cape on Monday 18 July 2011, the first day of school next term and all learners who registered and were approved for the programme are to be ready for collection at one of the pick-up points along their particular school routes.
In order to comply with the new system, scholars are urged bring some form of identification so that the driver can confirm that they indeed are registered.
