The 67 minutes programme will precede the main event of the day which will be the Zenani Mandela scholarship certification ceremony.

Phase one (1) of the programme will see the entourage enter the streets of Mthatha Town with paint and brushes in hand where they will spend time painting road markings in identified spots starting at 9h00

From there they will leave for the Milton Mbekele Senior Secondary where the learners will be addressed and taught on road safety education starting at 11h45.

Lastly the delegates will move to the Nelson Mandela Museum in Qunu where the Zenani Mandela scholarship certification ceremony will take place starting at 13h00.

The Zenani Mandela scholarship for road safety is an initiative that aims to contribute to the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011 - 2020.

The scholarship has been set-up to inspire the young leaders of South Africa to join the Global movement as represented by the UN Decade of Action which aims to save millions of lives to 2020 and beyond.

Its purpose is to offer young South Africans the opportunity to learn with and from other talented professionals from around the world with the common aim of improving road safety for communities in their home countries.
