Transport MEC Thandiswa Marawu will officially hand over 20 new ambulances at the East London Government Garage in West Bank, East London, tomorrow, 22 August 2012 at 14h00.
These ambulances form part of the 60 new vehicles that have been purchased by the newly-established Government Trading Entity to improve Emergency Medical and Rescue Services throughout the province. The rest will be distributed at the end of the month.
MEC Marawu is also expected to unveil the audit outcomes of the Eastern Cape Department of Transport together with the performance report of the new Trading Entity during the audit process.
