In an effort to address housing problems in the province stifled by current housing policies, MEC Helen Sauls-August convenes a two day policy workshop which will come up with new policy directives.
The workshop will also look into policy development for destitute individuals, eradication of informal settlements and property ownership. The workshop is aimed at assessing our performance, policy processes and systems. The workshop is held as part of Human Settlements Month Activities in the province.
Its main purpose is to mitigate challenges towards creating integrated and sustainable human settlements. The Theme of the Workshop is “Assessment of Policy Environment as it stifles or enables service delivery”.
