Three Eastern Cape provincial Departments, Education, Health and Social Development will tomorrow the 19 October 2012 hold a national schools health week closing function at the Schornvile municipal hall in Schornvile, outsideKing William’s town 11h00.
The event will mark the end of the campaign by the provincial government united in taking responsibility for the province’s children health and awareness. During this ceremony, Grades 1, 4, 8 and 10 learners will receive onsite health screening by medical professional from these government departments to ensure they are healthy.
Additionally, health tips will be provided to learners especially matriculants who are preparing for their final examinations that are scheduled to start next Monday, 22 October 2012.
Apart from screening, promotional material will be circulated to raise awareness about the importance of leading healthy life style by learners. Members of the media are invited in this gathering.
