Early Christmas party for needy children, 'let us make a difference this festive season'

The MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Mr Dan Kgothule, will host an early Christmas party for the needy children in Kutlwanong (Odendaalsrus) as part of his social responsibility programme. The early Christmas party for the needy children will be held as follows:

Date: 12 November 2009
Time: 10h00
Venue: Kutlwanong Stadium (Odendaalsrus)

All social groups and communities are invited to extend a caring hand to all vulnerable kids in our areas, in our neighbourhoods and schools, to roll-out early Christmas parties at the respective child care centres where kids will be during Christmas, with the aim of building a caring society.

Christmas was not meant to be enjoyed by our families only. During this festive season we need to extend a caring hand to all those children who won’t be having families, parents or loved ones at that time. Many of such kids will be at care centres, at hospices, orphanage homes and day care centres.

“We all needs to adopt a way this season of creating hope for such children and show them that we are a caring society,” stated MEC Kgothule.

The Premier Ace Magashule has also made a clarion call to all non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and welfare organisations to make a difference to our children as they are the future of this country.

The event will be held in partnership with Kalawa Jazzme. Various artists will be featured at the early Christmas party for the needy children. These will include Unathi, Winnie Khumalo, Oskido, Alaska, Mahoota, Spikiri, M’Jokes, Mono T, Zinhle, Tina, Thebe, Jakarumba, Bruce Dope, Pepsi, Fossils, Masheleng and various local artists.

Your media house is cordially invited.
