Gauteng Premier, Nomvula Mokonyane and Health and Social Development MEC, Qedani Mahlangu will put a smile on 1 000 disadvantage children from orphanages and places of safety tomorrow afternoon in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.
The Premier and the MEC will spend the afternoon spreading the spirit of Christmas amongst these vulnerable children. They will shower them with gift and spend time with them. Jumping castles face painting and music will keep the children entertained.
In keeping with the spirit of giving and sharing Mokonyane and Mahlangu will also hand over food parcels to orphanages that do not get any funding from the department. This will ensure that children in these orphanages have food over the festive season.
Journalists are invited to attend.
