The North West MEC for Health, Dr Magome is continuing with his planned drive of strengthening relationship with all the doctors in the province. MEC Masike will today meet with doctors within the Ngaka Modiri Molema District.
The objectives of this drive are:
- to begin to share the vision of government towards turning around primary health care
- to get all doctors to partner the department in a drive to improve health services at primary health care level – clinics and community health centres
- to prepare doctors for the imminent introduction of National Health Insurance (NHI)
- to strengthen the department’s relationship with all the doctors
- to share best methods of improving the quality of health care services.
MEC Masike started these interactions by meeting with engaging with general practitioners at Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District late last year and will continue until all the doctors in the province have been engaged.
