Members of the media are advised that the planned visit by the Deputy Minister of Social Development, Ms Bathabile Dlamini, to Pinetown which was initially scheduled for Thursday, 14 October 2010, has been postponed.
The event will now take place a day later on Friday, 15 October 2010 at the following address:

The Deputy Minister is visiting KwaZulu-Natal as part of the Social Development Month to assess services rendered to children and older persons by non-governmental organisations in the area.
The Department of Social Development is committed towards ensuring that such services are rendered in a manner that promotes and upholds the rights of children and older persons.
On Tuesday, Ms Dlamini visited the Ekujabuleni Children’s Home in Edendale where she expressed her disappointment about the manner in which the centre was run.
