Disadvantaged youth empowered

Tomorrow, Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development together with Batataise Youth Development, a non-profit organisation geared towards integrating youth into the economy will honour 64 graduates at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Diepkloof, Soweto.

The 64 youth who will be receiving certificates have completed courses in landscape and irrigation, life skills and basic computing. The training was offered by companies such as South African Board of Irrigation, National Youth Development Association and Sakha Consulting.

Also party to this youth development initiative is the City of Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni Municipality, Lifeline, The Youth Trust, Fit for Life, Alexandra Kopano Centre, Duduza Resource Centre, Thembisa Local Christian Church, Gauteng Provincial Government and National Youth Development Agency.
