The Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs will be hosting a Disability Awareness Day on Thursday, 18 June 2009. The event will be held at the Global Life Conference Centre at 9h00 until 13h00.
The main aim of the awareness day is to encourage employees to come forward and disclose their disability status, to enable the unit to report to the Department of Labour. The Acting Superintendent-General Advocate Stanley Khanyile invites all staff to attend.
