Director General in The Presidency, Vusi Mavimbela to brief members of the media today

Members of the media are advised that the Director-General in The Presidency, Vusi Mavimbela will today Wednesday, 31 March 2010, brief members of the media on a number of developments in The Presidency and not the Minister in The Presidency, Collins Chabane as indicated earlier. The briefing will still take place at the Union Buildings, Media Centre, at 10h30.

This is in line with The Presidency’s commitment to regularly inform both the public and the media on various issues affecting The Presidency.

The Director-General's brief will focus on the following issues:

  • Establishment of the Performance, Monitoring Evaluation (PME)
  • Progress on establishment of National Planning Commission
  • Restructuring in The Presidency
    • Cabinet Office
    • Communications Branch
    • Policy Coordination and Advisory Services (PCAS)
    • Relocation of the Presidency hotline to PME.
