Director-General: Mineral Resources, Adv. Sandile Nogxina, officiates sod turning ceremony at Khayalethu home for the disabled and unveils plaque at Nombuso High School at Kwanzimakwe, Port Edward, KwaZulu-Natal

The Director-General of Mineral Resources, Adv.Sandile Nogxina in partnership with mining companies, will officiate the sod turning ceremony on behalf of the Minister of Mineral Resources, Ms Susan Shabangu, MP, to mark the building of a home for the disabled and handing over computers and a science laboratory to Nombuso High School at kwaNzimakwe in Port Edward on Friday, 18 March 2011. 

In line with the principles of meaningful partnerships with strategic stakeholders, the Department of Mineral Resources has managed to mobilise private sector funding for the installation of laboratory equipment, office furniture as well as the provisioning of computers to Nombuso High School.  

The school is situated in the rural area of KwaNzimakwe, Thongasi area, Munster, approximately 10 km from the Wild Coast Sun in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), on the border of KZN and the Eastern Cape.   

The Director-General of Mineral Resources, Adv.Sandile Nogxina will be accompanied by the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Dr Zweli Mkhize, MEC for Education, Senzo Mchunu, MEC for Health, Dr Sibongiseni Dlomo, MEC for Social Development, Dr Meshack Radebe and the Mayor of Hibiscus Coast Municipality, Clr NF Shusha.
