University of Venda autumn graduation ceremony: 20 to 21 May 2010
Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe, will commence his visit to the Limpopo province on Thursday, 20 May and Friday, 21 May 2010, by officiating at the University of Venda’s autumn graduation ceremony.
The Deputy President is the Chancellor of the University of Venda.

Evaluation of state of readiness in hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup �" City of Polokwane: Saturday, 22 May 2010
Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will then, on Saturday, 22 May 2010, visit the newly built Peter Mokaba Stadium where he will receive a presentation on the state of readiness to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Deputy President chairs the Inter-Ministerial Committee on the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

2010 Legacy project visit, City of Polokwane

The Deputy President will as part of the evaluation of the state of readiness in hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup, visit various 2010 Legacy Projects in the City of Polokwane.
The visits to various 2010 legacy projects will consider the enhanced local capacity in dealing with employment creation, cultural diversity, and information and technology.
The legacy projects demonstrate the positive impact that comes with hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa
Public Participatory Forum, Polokwane Cricket Club, 22 May 2010
Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will then proceed to the Polokwane Cricket Club to meet with members of various communities as part of bringing government closer to the people.
Members of the communities from around the five districts will have the opportunity to interact with the Deputy President and other senior government officials.
