Deputy President, Kgalema Motlanthe will on Thursday, 29 March 2012, officially launch the R487 million newly constructed Jabulani Community Residential and RDP housing project in Jabulani, Soweto. This project will see 1 919 units completed over the next few years.
The Deputy President will be joined by Human Settlements Minister, Tokyo Sexwale, Gauteng premier, Nomvula Mokonyane, MEC for Local Government and Housing in the province, Humphrey Mmemezi and Parks Tau, Executive Mayor of Johannesburg.
The project is aimed at providing affordable rental housing stock and fully subsidised (RDP housing) units that are of high quality to low income families as required by the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
