Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe to visit Siyancuma Municipality in the Northern Cape

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will on Saturday, 11 August 2012, lead a delegation of Cabinet Ministers in a visit to the Siyancuma Municipality in the Northern Cape Province to access progress achieved in the Anti-Poverty Programme.

The Deputy President will meet with the Northern Cape Provincial Government and the Siyancuma Municipality to review progress made since his last visit to the area in 2010.

Deputy President Motlanthe will then attend a public meeting in Douglas.

The Anti-Poverty Programme is an initiative by Government to fight poverty through targeted delivery of services to poor households through identifying change agents that can help poor households move out of extreme poverty and improvement of intergovernmental co-operation and co-ordination in service delivery.
