Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will, on Friday, 4 February 2011, officially open the revamped University of Johannesburg’s Soweto Campus.
The campus’s facelift was made possible by an infrastructure grant of about R400 million from the government through the Department of Higher Education and Training.
Government has invested R3.3 billion over the period 2010 – 2012 towards infrastructure development in 23 universities.
