The annual meeting between Cabinet and the South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF) is scheduled to take place this coming weekend. These meetings provide a strategic platform for government and the media to strengthen working relations as well as discuss issues of mutual interest aimed at reinforcing our democracy.
Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will lead a Government delegation comprising of Ministers and Deputy Ministers, while the SANEF Chairperson Mr Mondli Makhanya will lead a group of senior editors from around the country.
The meeting will take place at Mount Grace Country House and Spa on Friday, 19 October and Saturday, 20 October 2012.
Members of the media are invited to the Friday, 19 October 2012 session as follows:
- The opening session including remarks by Deputy President and Sanef Chairman
- A photo-opportunity of the delegates.
