Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will on Friday, 15 October 2010, chair a meeting of the National Stakeholder Advisory Council on Energy, at the Union Buildings, Pretoria.
This Energy Council is constituted my members of the Executive including the Ministers of Energy, Public Enterprises, Finance, National Planning, Water and Environmental Affairs, Cooperative Governance, Trade and Industry, Mineral Resources, Economic Development and Labour.
Apart from convening the meeting, National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) coordinates the participation of social partners including organised labour, organised business, the community constituency and representatives of the intensive users of electricity.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of the release of the Integrated Resource Plan for Electricity by the Department of Energy.
