Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will address the International AIDS Society Conference to be held in Cape Town from 19 to 22 July 2009.
This is in the context of government's commitment to tackle the scourge of HIV and AIDS head on, as it is strengthening the partnership between government, business and civil society in the fight against HIV and AIDS as well as tuberculosis.
The conference is held every two years and is viewed as an opportunity for the world's leading scientists, clinicians, public health experts and community leaders to examine the latest developments in HIV-related research.
