Deputy President to address the World Tuberculosis Day Commemorations

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe in his capacity as Chairperson of the National AIDS Council (SANAC) will on 24 March 2012 deliver a keynote address at the World Tuberculosis Day commemorations to be held in Carletonville, Gauteng.

The Deputy President will use this commemorative day to launch the implementation plan of the National Strategic Plan (NSP) that will guide South Africa’s response in addressing the impact of TB and HIV and AIDS.

Present at the event with the Deputy President will be the Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, and the leadership from various sectors including, provincial and local government, the mining industry and Unions.
