Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will tomorrow, 30 May 2011, deliver a keynote address at the Department of Economic Development’s first Annual Development Conference at the Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg.
Except for the opening session however the conference is not open for reporting. All Chatham House rules apply.
Members of the media will be allowed to freely observe and glean a sense of the discussions that will take place around issues crucial to South Africa's economic progress.
The conference seeks to deepen discussion on key issues raised by the Department’s New Growth Path, adopted by Cabinet late last year as the country’s national economic framework.
Registration will commence from 07h30. The conference will open at 08h40.
