The Deputy Minister of Tourism Tokozile Xasa will on Tuesday, 6 December, starting at 11h00, hand out toys and other gifts to the children of the Ilitha Pre-School in Ward 40, Ilitha Township in Berlin in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. The initiative is aimed at sharing the spirit of Christmas with the kids, some of whom have little or nothing to look forward to in Christmas.This gesture, which is an annual event, it is hoped, will put smiles on the faces of the little ones for Christmas.
Berlin is a parliamentary constituency assigned to Deputy Minister Xasa, who believes that “children need to also be remembered especially those coming from disadvantaged and poor families”. Deputy Minister Xasa says that ”as we celebrate this festive season, let us remember that there are those who don’t have anything to celebrate with and we need to share the little that we have with them too.
