The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms Tokozile Xasa will attend the Tourism and Infrastructure Investment Summit and Awards in Skukuza Camp, Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga on 21 to 22 February 2011. The theme for 2011 event is "Tourism and Infrastructure Investment for the New Decade”
The deputy minister will give a keynote address at the gala dinner where the African Investor (AI), organisers of the summit, will present awards to the industry players who are collectively responsible for raising awareness about Africa as a tourism investment destination. The summit, according to the organisers, will be attended by ministers and deputy ministers responsible for tourism in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and other African countries as well as the investors in the industry and potential investors.
Deputy Minister Xasa will also take part in two of the panels, one will be a Ministerial Roundtable that will focus on Regional Tourism Investment Linkages and the other panel will look into SADC Tourism Investment Opportunities.
