This serves to inform you about the postponement of the Launch of the Isibhubhu Project which was scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, 11 August 2011 at the eNyokeni Royal Palace.
We will update you on the new date of the rescheduled launch as soon as it has been decided and confirmed.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms Tokozile Xasa will on Thursday, 11 August 2011 address the launch of Isibhubhu Project in Enyokeni Royal House. The launch, which is done in conjunction with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development and Tourism and Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, will also be addressed by His Majesty King Zwelithini Goodwill who will also officially receive the Pavillion (Isibhubhu Project) which will become a home for the Zulu Royal Reed Dance. This event will be preceded by a pre-launch cocktail dinner on Tuesday, 10 August 2011 at the Nongoma Inn, from 18h00.
This project is being developed by the social responsibility implementation unit in the national Department of Tourism as part of its Expanded Public Works Programmes (EPWP). This first phase of the Isibhubhu Project will through this facility, will host among other events the Zulu Royal Reed Dance Celebrations. This celebration which is held at eNyokeni Royal Palace each year attracts an increasing number of maiden participants and guests. The event has become one of KwaZulu-Natal’s major events in the tourism calendar and it also creates a market for local tourism and craft related businesses
The government is consciously intervening through EPW and War on Poverty Programmes on delivering the much needed infrastructure tourism and social services and at the same time provide opportunities for the unemployed to earn an income while contributing to their communities.
The Isibhubhu Project is aimed at helping reduce poverty and unemployment through tourism development and to implement critical small scale tourism infrastructure development in poor and rural areas as well as to build capacity and skills development in the tourism industry.
