Deputy Minister Rejoice Mabudafhasi to handover a media classroom to Makwarela Primary School in Limpopo

Mme Rejoice Mabudafhasi, Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs will hand over a media classroom sponsored by MTN cellular network to Makwarela Primary School, on Friday, 02 November 2012, in Sibasa, Vhembe District Municipality, Limpopo.

Tshilidzi Phalanndwa (15), representing Makwarela Primary School is the overall winner in the Praise Singing category of the Baswa Le Meetse (Youth in Water) national competition, an initiative of the Department of Water Affairs which aims to increase awareness on water resource management and to stimulate the youth to educate society about issues of water through arts.

The first prize package includes media classroom (20 computers), a multifunctional printer, an overhead projector, two data cards and modems plus R1000 monthly allowance for the running cost of e-mail and internet for 24 Months, and a cash prize to the value of R6000. Upon hearing about the media classroom, Thovhele Gole Mphaphuli, donated ten more computers to the school. Prizes are awarded in five categories namely, drama, praise singing, poetry, poster and traditional music.

Thovhele Gole Mphaphuli will join the Deputy Minister during the MTN media classroom handover.
