Mr Obed Bapela, Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, will on Monday, 19 March meet the Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Councillor Parks Tau to discuss the ongoing billing challenges experienced by the city over a number of years.
The meeting aims to identify solutions that will enable the Deputy Minister's office to adequately address the reported challenges in a bid to find a longterm solution.
The meeting was prompted by the influx of complaints received through the Presidential Hotline. The Deputy Minister hopes that the meeting will enable his office to adequately address the reported challenges and hopefully find a long term and lasting solution. The meeting will also be attended by members of the Mayoral Committee responsible for the Billing System.
The meeting will conclude with a joint media briefing to communicate the findings and the decisions taken.
