Deputy Minister Obed Bapela to officiate at the President's awards

Deputy Minister in The Presidency for Performance Monitoring, Evaluation and Administration, Obed Bapela will be officiating at the President’s Awards for Youth Empowerment programme awards ceremony. The Awards, a full member of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Association, will be honouring 60 young South Africans who have achieved the Gold Level in this international youth development programme.

Deputy Minister Bapela will be officiating on behalf of President Jacob Zuma who is the Patron-in-Chief of the awards. The ceremony is also expected to be attended by Mr Andre Haspels, Dutch Ambassador to South Africa and Mr Warren Clewlow, Chairman of The President’s Award for Youth Empowerment Trust.

The Gold Award Holders are from schools and community youth groups from Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.
