The Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Mr Thabang Makwetla, will this coming Saturday, 26 March 2011, deliver a keynote address at the launch of the Free State South African National Military Veterans Association (SANMVA).
SANMVA is a national umbrella association comprises of former liberation armies such as MK, Apla, and Azanla as well as the Council of Military Veterans’ Organisations. In his address Mr Makwetla is expected to share government proposed policies to address the plight of Military Veterans.
Mr Makwetla will be joined by the Free State Premier, Mr Ace Magashule and Umkhonto Wesizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) president, Mr Kebby Maphatsoe, also scheduled to address the gathering.
