Deputy Minister Mabudafhasi to hand over MTN media classroom in Kuruman

Mme Rejoice Mabudafhasi, Deputy Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs will hand over media classroom sponsored by MTN cellular network to Isagontle Primary School, on Tuesday, 3 May 2011, in Kuruman, Northern Cape. 

Isagontle Primary School is the overall winner in the drama category for Baswa Le Meetse (Youth in Water) national competition, an initiative of the Department of Water Affairs which aims to increase awareness on water resource management and to stimulate the youth to educate society about issues of water through arts.

The first prize package includes media classroom (20 computers), a water play pump, a printer, an overhead projector, MTN sim card plus R1 000 monthly allowance for the running cost of e-mail and internet for 24 Months, and a cash prize to the value of R6000. Prizes are awarded in five categories namely, drama, praise singing, poetry, poster and traditional music.

MEC for Education, Ms Chrisselda Cjiekela will join the Deputy Minister during the MTN media classroom hand over.
