Members of the media are invited to join the Deputy Minister and Gauteng MEC during their inspection of health and medical services in preparation for the World Cup.
The programme starts at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital at 10h00 with a welcome note from the MEC, followed by a presentation on the state of readiness and ends with a walkabout and inspection of the facilities.
A media briefing will be conducted at Baragwanath Hospital at 11h00 after the tour.
At 13h00, the delegation will depart for Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital for another presentation and inspection. This will be followed by an inspection of the Emergency Medical Centre in Midrand at 15h00.
