The Deputy Minister of Health Dr Gwen Ramokgopa will deliver a keynote address at the Southern African Network of Nurses and Midwives (SANNAM) meeting, which takes place at Burgers Park Hotel in Tshwane on 3 December.
The conference takes place under the theme: “Universal access to health services in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and the role of professional organisations - NNA's/NNO's".
The deputy minister is expected to share, amongst other issues, the South African Government's commitment to accelerate progress towards meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), as well as talk on the department's outcomes that form the basis of the current health sector agenda.
