Deputy Minister Enver Surty hands over Sophakama Primary School in Dunoon, 3 Jun

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Mr Enver Surty will on Wednesday 03 June 2015 handover Sophakama Primary School in Dunoon, Cape Town as part of the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Development Initiative (ASIDI).

Built at a cost in excess of R40 Million, Sophakama Primary will welcome 1600 learners to their brand new state of the art school boasting 32 Classrooms, a library, science laboratory, Nutrition Centre and Art Room. Having recently handed over the landmark 100th school, this R8.2billion public-private partnership, ASIDI, continues to restore dignity to rural education with the handover of Sophakama Primary.
