The Deputy Minister of Energy, Ms Barbara Thompson will launch the special Electricity Switch-On ceremony of phase 1 and 2 for Emasangweni Village; Ingwe Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal. Emasangweni is a rural, farming area where serious service delivery issues are still the order of the day.
The launch of this special project is the first of its kind in this village and is a direct positive response by the Department of Energy to the call of the President of the Republic to speed up service delivery issues and to curb blockages.
The Deputy minister of Energy will be joined by amongst others; the MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Ms Nomusa Dube, local leadership (both political and traditional) e.t.c.
