Deputy Minister of Basic Education Mr. Enver Surty, MP to conduct school visits in the Free State

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education Mr Enver Surty, MP, will be visiting the Free State Province from 10 to 11 October 2011.

The visit forms part of the Ministry’s programme to monitor how schools are utilising information gathered from the outcomes of the Annual National Assessments (ANA).

The Deputy Minister will meet with principals of primary schools, the provincial management team and hold discussions with literacy and numeracy teachers as part of his visit.

The Deputy Minister will also address the Matric ‘Class of 2011’ at the Comtec Secondary School, to wish them well as they prepare to embark on the final leg of their high school journey and begin their final examinations.

The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by the Free State MEC for Education, Mr T.P Makgoe, as well as senior officials of the department.
