Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr Andries Nel, MP, is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to represent the South African Government in a meeting of Ministers of Justice/Attorneys-General taking place on 14-15 May 2012.
South Africa joins other member states of the African Union in a meeting to discuss, amongst others, the following matters:
- consideration of the Draft Statute of the African Court of Justice and Human and People's Rights
- consideration of the Draft Protocol to the Constitutive Act of the African Union Relating to the Pan African Parliament
- consideration of the Draft model national legislation on Universal Jurisdiction, and
- Consideration of the Progress Report of the Commission on the implementation of Assembly decision on the ICC.
