The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) will for the first time partner with the industry organisation, Business Process Enabling South Africa (BPESA), to present Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Week. Members of the media are invited to attend.
The conference will be held from 17 to 20 November 2009 at the Boardwalk in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. It will be followed by BPESA’s Annual African Stars Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday, 22 November 2009 at the Feather Market Hall in Port Elizabeth.
The conference will emphasise the dti’s role in the sustainability and growth of the sector and promote and market South Africa’s value proposition on BPO. It will further strengthen the partnership between government and industry to provide an enabling environment for the sector. It will also be graced by international speakers from India, Canada, United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK).
The conference will start with a site visit to the Coega Industrial Zone on Tuesday, 17 November 2009.
