Following the conclusion of bidding process to replace South Africa’s ageing SA Agulhas, a formal agreement between the Department of Environmental Affairs and the successful bidder, a European shipyard, will be signed tomorrow in Cape Town.
The formal signing of the contract and a media briefing are scheduled for Tuesday 17 November 2009 at 12h00 on-board the SA Agulhas at the V&A Waterfront. (Next to Heli-deck and Table Bay Hotel)
