This Friday, the Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development and the Brazilian Ministry of Health will be launching a joint HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention campaign.
As part of the Play it Safe campaign, a bus with football and HIV and AIDS prevention cartoons will visit fan parks, public viewing areas, rural areas and informal settlements, throughout the province.
The campaign aims to create awareness, educate the public about preventative measures as well as services available for those infected and affected with the virus.
South African and Brazilian artists and celebrities will join efforts to fight the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS through music, dance and humour.
