The North West MEC for Housing, Desbo Sefanyetso, will host the second provincial GMHA to be held on 31 July 2009 at the Rustenburg Civic Centre at 18h00.
These awards were first introduced three years ago to motivate all stakeholders in the housing industry as well as harness human and other resources in accelerating housing delivery to improve the lives of millions of South African by building sustainable human settlements.
Participants will contest in the following categories:
* Local municipality of the year
* Youth builder of the year
* Woman builder of the year
* Subsidy builder of the year
* Historically disadvantaged builder of the year
* Non-subsidy builder of the year.
Winners will proceed to participate in the national competition to be held later or early next year.
