The South African National Defence Force, Joint Operations Division will host a briefing on Exercise Golfinho, a multi-national South African Development Community (SADC) exercise, at Defence Headquarters on Wednesday, 19 August 2009.
Exercise Golfinho will take place in September 2009 and is a Multinational Exercise involving eleven countries from SADC. The aim of Exercise Golfinho is to exercise the readiness of its forces in accordance with the African Union roadmap towards establishing the SADC Brigade.
The briefing will cover the exercise build-up, the actual exercise during September 2009, the exercise objectives and the respective forces' contribution.
