Department of Defence and Military Veterans hold inaugural Republic of South Africa/Malawi defence committee meeting, Pretoria

Defence diplomacy in South Africa will be further enhanced when the South African Department of Defence and Military Veterans host an inaugural South Africa/Malawi defence committee meeting at Defence Headquarters in Pretoria.

The two day meeting to be co-chaired by the Acting Secretary for Defence, Mr Tsepe Motumi and his Malawian counterpart, Mr Patrick Kachimera will among other things discuss defence cooperation between the two countries in areas of training, peacekeeping and technical assistance.

Department of Defence and Military Veterans Acting Secretary for Defence, Mr Tsepe Motumi says, “The forging of close bilateral relations between the two countries is important in addressing regional and continental security challenges?”
