As part of the empowerment efforts, the MEC for Gauteng Department of Community Safety will on Friday, 9 October 2009 officially handover computers to various Community Policing Forums (CPFs) in the Gauteng province.
The handover is part of the department’s ongoing programme to capacitate and support all CPFs across Gauteng with resources that will enhance their contribution in the fight against crime. This programme will be rolled-out to all policing precincts in Gauteng. Meanwhile, about 85 CPF members are undergoing a computer crash courses.
