The Department of Communications (DoC) in partnership with the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) have implemented the second phase of the e-Literacy Programme for Youth Offenders in Pollsmoor Correctional Centre in the Western Cape.
The Department of Communications has sponsored the training for 400 youth offenders on Computer and Life Skills Economy. The youth offenders’ programme is consisting of 200 youth offenders from the Western Cape as well as another 200 from the Eastern Cape respectively.
The Department of Communications will be awarding the successful youth offenders with the certificate for Computer Literacy and Life Skills Economy, a graduation ceremony will take place as follows:
