The Department of Communications (DoC) will be hosting the e-Skills workshop from the 10 to 11 August 2011.
The department has set itself a target of being a global leader in the use of Information Communications Technology (ICT) tools for socio-economic development and as such has collaborated with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to fast-track ICT skills development in the country.
The workshop aims to lay the foundation needed to upskill and usage of the country in ICT’s. At the workshop issues such as the e-skilling the country for equitable prosperity and global competitiveness and reduce the shortage of e-Skills will be discussed amongst other things.
